Sustainable and Traceable

Participating and supporting sustainable fisheries in addition to having full traceability of all the seafood we sell is our highest priority. Please read our sustainability statement to learn more.

Respect For All Living Creatures

When it comes to life and death in regards to our food systems, it is an uncomfortable concept to fully understand and is often overlooked. Yet, we are all part of this web of life where energy is transferred from one living thing to another. As consumers and harvesters, we all need to show respect and give thanks to what we catch and eat. In order for us to show the utmost respect for our harvest, we go above and beyond in our handling by showing concentration to quality over quantity while striving to get to a zero-waste model by utilizing as much of each piece of seafood we can.

Wild Caught and Hand Harvested

All of the seafood we sell is wild caught from the icy cold waters of Alaska. We source seafood from multiple fishermen who use various methods of harvest. These fishermen/women and their small crews work tirelessly throughout the year to connect the sea to your plate.

Supporting Fishing Families & Communities

Unfortunately, in these modern times, there has been a disconnect between the food on your plate and knowing how it got there. We are trying to change that by making sure every piece of fish that comes through our business has a story of where it was caught, how it was caught and who caught it. When you purchase a piece of seafood through Sea to Shore, you are supporting the men and women who set out on their daily, weekly and sometimes monthly voyages, to feed this country.

Zero Waste

As part of our effort to respect the seafood we catch we strive to reach a zero-waste model by utilizing as much of each fish as possible. Whether it be scraping each frame for burger meat, packaging collars and bellies for the BBQ or taking extra care of the pink salmon we catch and fillet enabling us to offer a lower cost product that fits all budget types. We hope to someday find a use for every piece of each fish we harvest, making sure nothing goes to waste.

Honoring Native Cultures & Peoples

Less than 400 years ago Native American cultures thrived across this continent as they had been for thousands of years prior. They honored the land and understood the interconnected web of life around them. Their lives and cultures were forever altered with the introduction of Europeans, including much pain and suffering. We acknowledge and respect the fact that our business operates on the lands of the Tlingit Lanai in Southeast AK and the Lummi Nation in Bellingham, WA. These communities were the original stewards of these lands.
