What is a Crew Share?

A Crew Share in this case is essentially a play on when a crew member brings home a box of seafood at the end of the fishing season, for free or a discounted rate. In this case, the person spearheading the organizing and placing of the order (aka "The Crew Share") is considered the Deck Boss. The Deck Boss gets free seafood, while the rest of their “Crew Members'' (Family, Friends, Neighbors, Workplace, etc.) get a discounted rate. There is no limit to the savings the Deck Boss can receive. Deck Bosses receive a $2 credit for each pound of seafood sold ($100 minimum of FREE seafood).  There is a 50 pound minimum for each Crew Share order. This can be made up of any combination of frozen seafood that we have in stock.

What is a Deck Boss?

A Deck Boss is a crew member with the most experience on deck that makes sure the captain's wishes are being upheld. They are essentially the “boss” of the other crew members. In this case, the Deck Boss is the person placing the order, arranging pick up, collecting payments and in charge of distribution to the other “Crew Members." They are the person who receives free seafood as compensation for their extra work.

Which Products Are Eligible?

Any frozen product is available to put toward the 50 pound minimum. (This is pretty much everything except our jars, tins and pouches of smoked salmon.) Tip: our Smoked Salmon Strips ARE eligible!

Can I Invite Others to Join My Crew?

Absolutely. You can order for yourself or create your own Crew of friends, family and coworkers.  Payment must be made by one person and the entire order must be shipped together.  It's up to you, as the “Deck Boss," to pick up and distribute the order to your other Crew Members.

Where & When do you deliver?

Crew Shares can be shipped to any city served by Alaska Air Cargo. The “Deck Boss” is in charge of picking up from the Alaska Air Cargo of their choice. Crew Shares ship weekly, Monday and Thursday for delivery the following day.  Orders must be submitted by noon the day before shipping. Special delivery may be accommodated, please inquire before placing your order if delivery is needed outside of scheduled delivery days.

What's the Fine Print?

• Minimum order weight must total at least 50 lbs. Feel free to mix and match until you reach that minimum.
• The Crew Share order can save up to 50% off our regular retail prices and free shipping to any Alaska Airlines Cargo hub. You cannot combine additional discounts with Crew Share.
• The Crew Share must fly into a city served by Alaska Airlines Cargo. There are no other shipping options for the Crew Share.
• The Crew Share organizer, the Deck Boss (you), are responsible for picking up the order at Alaska Airlines Cargo and distributing it to your Crew Members.
• We only accept one payment from one individual for a Crew Share order. If you've got a Crew that you're sharing with, it's up to you to collect payment from them to reimburse you for their portions.
• Sea to Shore is not responsible for any damage to the product after it has been picked up from Alaska Airlines Cargo, so make sure to check your order before signing for it and leaving the airport.
  

I'm in. How do I order a Crew Share?

Shop the store as usual and add frozen items to your cart. Once you reach a 50 lb minimum, your cart will automatically include the discounted savings and the Deck Boss's $2 per lb credit. At checkout, it will ask you to input your shipping information where it will automatically find your nearest Alaska Air Cargo station.
