Joshua Hunter Conn
Joshua has been fishing commercially for 31 years, as a 4th generation fisherman in his family. He enjoys using the Gillnet to catch salmon because of the challenge it provides. His crew has always consisted of his family, and he loves that quality time and the memories that are being made with them. Joshua loves to eat Halibut because of all the different ways it can be prepared.

Fisherman Q&A
Q: Where do you fish?
A: I fish in Southeast Alaska
Q: Which products do you sell to Sea to Shore Seafood?
A: I sell Alaskan Salmon to Sea to Shore Seafood.
Q: How did you get started in fishing? How long have you been commercially fishing? Any family history in commercial fishing?
A: I am a 4th generation fisherman in the Conn family, in Petersburg Alaska. I have been commercial fishing for 31 years.
Q: What sustainable fishing practices/gear types do you use? What is your crew size for these fisheries?
A: My crew has always been my family. We started this business intending to be closer as a family and work alongside our children. To date, I have had my two sons, one daughter, and niece as my crew as well as my wife. I usually have one to two people on the boat beside myself in the summer. I own a Southeast Drift Salmon and Southeast Dungeness Permit; these fisheries take place in the summer seasons which has made it easier for my family to join me as crew.
